Rising V.O.I.C.E.S. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization created to empower young ladies of color excel in academics and society.  V.O.I.C.E.S stands for valuing opportunities and intentionally choosing to embrace success.

Our Mission

The mission of Rising V.O. I. C.E.S. is to empower young ladies of color with tools and resources by fostering positive relationships, promoting educational, mental, emotional, and social wellness, and preparing them to be productive in their communities . 

Our Impact

Rising V.O.I.C.E.S. serves young ladies in Columbia, SC and we anticipate connection our students to resources that allow them to graduate high school with distinctions, obtain scholarships to to attend their desired college, matriculate through college, and secure a position in their desired field. 

Our Team

Rising V.O. I. C.E.S. was founded in 2024 by Dr. Chanell Harris who has a dream of seeing more young ladies of color achieve success in academics and life. Today, our board of directors bring a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and connections to push this mission forward.
